धान्त्वद्रियान्तःकरणप्रसादं दधाच्च कान्तिं दहनप्रदीप्तम् । अशेषदोषोपचयं निहन्याद् अभ्यस्यमानं जलबस्तिकर्म ॥ २.२८ ॥ |
dhāntvadriyāntaḥkaraṇaprasādaṃ dadhācca kāntiṃ dahanapradīptam । aśeṣadoṣopacayaṃ nihanyād abhyasyamānaṃ jalabastikarma ॥ 2.28 ॥ |

By practising Basti with water, the dhâtus (living tissues), the indriyas (senses) and the antah-kKarana (the performer of physiological processes) achives prasadam (purity, satisfaction, calmness). It gives a glow (tone) to the body and promotes Agni Dipti (digestive fire). All disorders of the doshas (VPK) disappear.
