गुल्मप्लीहोदरं चापि वातपित्तकफोद्भवाः । बस्तिकर्मप्रभावेण क्षीयन्ते सकलामयाः ॥ २.२७ ॥ |
gulmaplīhodaraṃ cāpi vātapittakaphodbhavāḥ । bastikarmaprabhāveṇa kṣīyante sakalāmayāḥ ॥ 2.27 ॥ |

By practising this Basti karma, one cures gulma (colic, the glands, etc), plihoudara (diseases of the belly and spleen), and diseases caused by disorders of vâta, pitta and kapha. |
