एवं आसनबन्धेषु योगीन्द्रो विगतश्रमः ।
अभ्यसेन्नाडिकाशुद्धिं मुद्रादिपवनीक्रियाम् ॥ १.५७ ॥ |
evaṃ āsanabandheṣu yogīndro vigataśramaḥ ।
abhyasennāḍikāśuddhiṃ mudrādipavanīkriyām ॥ 1.57 ॥

Evam - in this way;
Āsana - asana;
Bandheṣu - closures, bandha;
Yogi - yogi;
Indraḥ - master of power;
Vigata - get rid of, vanished, lost;
Śramaḥ - fatigue, exhaustion, exertion;
Abhyaset - to practice;
Nāḍikā - the subtle energy channels;
Śuddhiṁ - cleaning;
Mudrā - mudras;
Ādi - etc.;
Pavana - air;
Kriyām - doing, action.

By practicing (or persisting) in this ásana, the Yogi gets rid of fatigue. The Nâdis become clean, as do the Mudras, etc. (the physiological pathways as dictated by the bodily structure) and the action of Váyu (flow) becomes perfect.
