खाद्यते न च कालेन बाध्यते न च कर्मणा ।
साध्यते न स केनापि योगी युक्तः समाधिना ॥ ४.१०८ ॥ |
khādyate na ca kālena bādhyate na ca karmaṇā ।
sādhyate na sa kenāpi yogī yuktaḥ samādhinā ॥ 4.108 ॥ |
Khādyate: is devoured ("eaten", Khadana)
Na: not (Na)
Ca: and (Cha)
Kālena: of death ("time", Kala)
Bādhyate: impaired, plagued (badha)
Na: not
Ca: also
Karmaṇā: by (the law of) deed (retribution, Karman)
Sādhyate: is subjected, dominated ("brought to obey", Sadhya)
Na: not
Saḥ: this (Tad)
Kena api: by somebody (Ka Api)
Yogī: Yogi
Yuktaḥ: (which is completely) concentrated ("connected") (Yukta)
Samādhinā: by (the) sanking (Samadhi) || 108 ||

One is not devoured by Death, though, is not bound by one's karma. The yogî who is engaged in Samâdhi can be overpowered by none.
