अन्तरङ्गस्य यमिनो वाजिनः परिघायते ।
नादोपास्तिरतो नित्यं अवधार्या हि योगिना ॥ ४.९५ ॥ |
antaraṅgasya yamino vājinaḥ parighāyate ।
nādopāstirato nityaṃ avadhāryā hi yoginā ॥ 4.95 ॥ |
Antar-aṅgasya: (in the form of) mind (antaranga)
Yaminaḥ: a controlled, self-governed (Yogis, Yamin)
Vājinaḥ: the racehorse (Vajin)
Parighāyate *: (the unquenched sound) is like a bar (in front of the stall door, Parigha)
Nāda: (about the undefeated) sound, sound (nada)
Upāstiḥ: (the) meditation ("worship", Upasti)
Ataḥ: therefore, therefore (Atas)
Nityam: daily ("always", Nitya)
Avadhāryā: to be executed ("to adapt", Avadharya)
Hi: sure (hi)
Yoginā: through the yogin || 95 ||

The Nâda (the sound) is like the bolt on a stable door is for the horse (the minds of the yogîs). A yogî should constantly practise listening to the Nâda sounds.
