एकीभूतं तदा चित्तं राजयोगाभिधानकम् ।
सृष्टिसंहारकर्तासौ योगीश्वरसमो भवेत् ॥ ४.७७ ॥ |
ekībhūtaṃ tadā cittaṃ rājayogābhidhānakam ।
sṛṣṭisaṃhārakartāsau yogīśvarasamo bhavet ॥ 4.77 ॥ |
Ekī-bhūtaṃ *: one (with his meditation object) (Eka-Bhuta)
Tadā: then (Tada)
Cittaṃ: (is the) spirit (chitta)
Rāja-yoga **: royal yoga (Raja yoga)
Abhidhānakam: (the) is called ("has the designation", Abhidhanaka)
Sṛṣṭi: Creation (Srishti)
Saṃhāra: (and) resolution (Samhara)
Kartā: causes ("is the maker," Kartri)
Asau: this (asau)
Yogī: Yogin
Īśvara: (the) Lord (Ishvara)
Samaḥ: same, comparable (Sama)
Bhavet: (he) becomes (bhū) || 77 ||

The union of the mind and the sound is called Râja Yoga. The (real) yogî becomes the creator and destroyer of the universe, like the Lord.
