विष्णुग्रन्थेस्ततो भेदात्परमानन्दसूचकः ।
अतिशून्ये विमर्दश्च भेरीशब्दस्तदा भवेत् ॥ ४.७३ ॥ |
viṣṇugranthestato bhedātparamānandasūcakaḥ ।
atiśūnye vimardaśca bherīśabdastadā bhavet ॥ 4.73 ॥ |
Viṣṇu-grantheḥ *: the Vishnu node (Vishnu Granthi)
Tataḥ: thereafter, thereupon (Tatas)
Bhedāt: by pushing through (Bheda)
Parama: (for upcoming) highest (Parama)
Ānanda: Happiness (Ananda)
Sūcakaḥ: (one) signs ("herald", Suchaka)
Ati-śūnye **: in the extraordinary emptiness (Atishunya)
Vimardaḥ: (a) pounding, thrown (vimarda)
Ca: and (Cha)
Bherī: (from) Kesselpauke (n, Bheri)
Śabdaḥ: (like the) sound (Shabda)
Tadā: then (Tada)
Bhavet: arises ("becomes", bhū) || 73 ||

By this means the Vishnu node (in the throat) is pierced, which is indicated by experienceing the highest pleasure, and then the Bherî sound (like the beating of a kettle drum) is evolved in the vacuum in the throat.
