अथ आरम्भावस्था
ब्रह्मग्रन्थेर्भवेद्भेदो ह्यानन्दः शून्यसम्भवः ।
विचित्रः क्वणको देहेऽनाहतः श्रूयते ध्वनिः ॥ ४.७० ॥ |
atha ārambhāvasthā
brahmagrantherbhavedbhedo hyānandaḥ śūnyasambhavaḥ ।
vicitraḥ kvaṇako dehe'nāhataḥ śrūyate dhvaniḥ ॥ 4.70 ॥ |
Atha: now (follows, Atha)
Ārambha-avasthā: (the) initial state (Arambha Avastha)
Brahma-grantheḥ *: the Brahma node (Brahma Granthi)
Bhavet: (if done) (bhū)
Bhedaḥ: (the) piercing (bheda)
Hi: sure (hi)
Ānandaḥ: (then arises) Happiness (Ananda)
Śūnya: (the) emptiness (is, Shunya)
Sambhavaḥ: (whose) origin (Sambhava)
Vicitraḥ: various (Vichitra)
Kvaḥakaḥ: tinkling (of bells and similar jewelery, Kvanaka)
Dehe: in the body (Deha)
Anāhataḥ: (and the) undequested (anahata)
Śrūyate: (then) will be heard (śru)
Dhvaniḥ: sound, sound (Dhvani) || 70 ||

When the Brahma granthi (in the heart) is pierced through by the Prânâyâma, then a sort of happiness is experienced in the vacuum of the heart, and anâhat sounds, like various tinkling sounds of ornaments, are heard in the body.
