चतुरशीत्यासनानि शिवेन कथितानि च । तेभ्यश्चतुष्कं आदाय सारभूतं ब्रवीम्यहम् ॥ १.३५ ॥ |
caturaśītyāsanāni śivena kathitāni ca । tebhyaścatuṣkaṃ ādāya sārabhūtaṃ bravīmyaham ॥ 1.35 ॥ |
| Catur-aśīti - 84;
Āsanāni - positions;
Śivena - from Shiva;
Kathitāni - have been taught, mentioned;
Ca - and;
Tebhyaḥsha - out of these, from these;
Catuṣkam - a group of four;
Ādāya - taken, having chosen;
Sāra-bhūtaṁ - the main, which is the essence;
Bravīmya - review, describe;
Aham - I; |
Shiva taught 84 ásanas. Of these, there are four main ásanas. I am going to explain them here. |
