श्रीआदिनाथेन सपादकोटि
लयप्रकाराः कथिता जयन्ति ।
नादानुसन्धानकं एकं एव
मन्यामहे मुख्यतमं लयानाम् ॥ ४.६६ ॥ |
śrīādināthena sapādakoṭi
layaprakārāḥ kathitā jayanti ।
nādānusandhānakaṃ ekaṃ eva
manyāmahe mukhyatamaṃ layānām ॥ 4.66 ॥ |
Śrī: (from) the sublime, venerable (Shri)
Ādi-nāthena: (Shiva, the primordial master (Adinatha)
Sa-pāda-koṭi: 12 500 000 ("one-quarter 10 million", Sa-Pada-Koti)
Laya: (the) resolution (of the mind, Laya)
Prakārāḥ: species (Prakara)
Kathitāḥ: (who were taught) (Kathita)
Jayanti: (are) successful ("win", ji)
Nāda: (to the inner) sound (nada)
Anusandhānakam: (the) concentration, (the) directing of attention (Anusandhana)
Ekam: alone, only (Eka)
Eva: quite, certainly, truly (Eve)
Manyāmahe: we hold (man)
Mukhya-tamaṃ: (for the) very best, most excellent ("first", Mukhya)
Layānām: (all methods for) resolution (of mind) || 66 ||

Âdinâtha propounded 12 500 000 methods of trance, and they are all extant. Of these, the hearing of the anâhata
nâda is the only one, the chief, in my opinion.
