अशक्यतत्त्वबोधानां मूढानां अपि संमतम् ।
प्रोक्तं गोरक्षनाथेन नादोपासनं उच्यते ॥ ४.६५ ॥ |
aśakyatattvabodhānāṃ mūḍhānāṃ api saṃmatam ।
proktaṃ gorakṣanāthena nādopāsanaṃ ucyate ॥ 4.65 ॥ |
Aśakya: (still) impossible (is, Ashakya)
Tattva: (the highest) truth (Tattva)
Bodhānāṃ: (to whom the knowledge) (Bodha)
Mūḍhānām: from the uneducated ("foolish", Mudha)
Api: even (Api)
Saṃmatam: honored, appreciated, acknowledged (Sammata)
Proktaṃ: (originally) taught (prokta)
Gorakṣa: Goraksha ("cowhide")
Nāthena: of Master (Natha)
Nāda *: (to the inner) sound (nada)
Upāsanam *: (the) concentration (the "practice, worship", Upasana)
Ucyate: (now) is declared (vac) || 65 ||

I will now describe the practice of anâhata nâda, as propounded by Goraksa Nâtha, for the benefit of those who are unable to understand the principles of knowledge — a method liked by the ignorant also.
