बाह्यवायुर्यथा लीनस्तथा मध्यो न संशयः ।
स्वस्थाने स्थिरतां एति पवनो मनसा सह ॥ ४.५१ ॥ |
bāhyavāyuryathā līnastathā madhyo na saṃśayaḥ ।
svasthāne sthiratāṃ eti pavano manasā saha ॥ 4.51 ॥ |
Bāhya: (the) outer (Bahya)
Vāyuḥ: Breath ("Wind", Vayu)
Yathā: like (Yatha)
Līnaḥ: has disappeared (Lina)
Tathā: so (Tatha)
Madhyaḥ: (disappears the) inner ("middle" breath, Madhya)
Na: no ("not one", na)
Saṃśayaḥ: Doubt (Samshaya)
Sva *: (at his own) (Sva)
Sthāne *: Place (Sthana)
Sthira-tām: (to) immobility, stability (Sthirata)
Eti: ("goes", i)
Pavanaḥ: (the) life breath, breath, prana ("wind", pavana)
Manasā: the spirit (manas)
Saha: with (Saha) || 51 ||

|
As the air, both inside the body and out, remains unmoved, so the breath and mind become steady in that place (i.e., in Brahma randhra).
