हरति सकलरोगानाशु गुल्मोदरादीन् अभिभवति च दोषानासनं श्रीमयूरम् ।
बहु कदशनभुक्तं भस्म कुर्यादशेषं जनयति जठराग्निं जारयेत्कालकूटम् ॥ १.३३ ॥ |
harati sakalarogānāśu gulmodarādīn abhibhavati ca doṣānāsanaṃ śrīmayūram ।
bahu kadaśanabhuktaṃ bhasma kuryādaśeṣaṃ janayati jaṭharāgniṃ jārayetkālakūṭam ॥ 1.33 ॥ |
Harati - shooed, take out (harnam);
Sakala - all;
Rogān - Diseases;
Āśu - fast;
Gulma - tumors;
Udara - abdomen;
Ādīn - etc.;
Abhibhavati - be defeated;
Ca - and;
Doṣān - disturbances, damage, error, affliction of tridosha;
ásanaṁ - body position (asana)
Śrī - the venerable;
Mayūram - Peacocks;
Bahu - much;
Kad-aśana - bad food;
Bhuktaṁ - eaten food;
Bhasma - to ash (digests)
Kuryād - to makes, transforms, to do;
Aśeshaṁ - complete, complete;
Janayati - brings forth, produces;
Jaṭhara - stomach;
Agniṁ - fire;
Jārayet - digested;
Kāla-kūṭam - deadly the poison.

This Âsana quickly destroys all diseases and removes abdominal tumors, including those arising from imbalanced tridosha (váta, pitta, kapha) and the digestion of improperly consumed food; it increases the digestive fire and processes even the most deadly poison.
