पुरस्ताच्चैव पूर्येत निश्चिता खेचरी भवेत् । अभ्यस्ता खेचरी मुद्राप्युन्मनी सम्प्रजायते ॥ ४.४७ ॥ |
purastāccaiva pūryeta niścitā khecarī bhavet । abhyastā khecarī mudrāpyunmanī samprajāyate ॥ 4.47 ॥ |

Eva: already (Eva)
Pūryeta *: one fill (Sushumna with Prana, pṝ)
Niścitā: (the) correct ("fixed", Nishchita)
Khe-carī: Khechari
Bhavet: (only then) is (it, bhū)
Abhyastā: (practiced regularly) (Abhyasta)
Khe-carī mudrā: (when) Khechari Mudra (the "seal of the airspace")
Api: but (Api)
Unmanī: (the state) beyond the spirit (Unmani)
Samprajāyate: (then) (sam + pra + jan) || 47 || |
It can be closed from the front also (by stopping the movements of the Prâna), and then surely it becomes Khecharî. By means of practice, this Khecharî leads to Unmanî. |
