यत्र दृष्टिर्लयस्तत्र भूतेन्द्रियसनातनी ।
सा शक्तिर्जीवभूतानां द्वे अलक्ष्ये लयं गते ॥ ४.३३ ॥ |
yatra dṛṣṭirlayastatra bhūtendriyasanātanī ।
sā śaktirjīvabhūtānāṃ dve alakṣye layaṃ gate ॥ 4.33 ॥ |
Yatra: where (Yatra)
Dḥiḥ: (the inner, spiritual) look (lingered, Drishti)
Layaḥ: (finds) resolution, absorption (instead, laya)
Tatra: there (Tatra)
Bhūta: (the) elements (Bhutan)
Indriya: (and the) senses (indriya)
Sanātanī *: (the ignorance in which) eternal, everlasting (exist, Sanatana)
Sā: this (venerable, Tad)
Śaktiḥ: energy, power (Shakti)
Jīva: (the) living (jiva)
Bhūtānāṃ: Being (Bhutan)
Dve **: (these) two, both (energies, Dvi)
Alakṣye ***: in the invisible, unknown, undefined (Brahman, Alakshya)
Layaṃ: (the) resolution (Laya)
Gate: have reached ("gone", Gata) || 33 ||
