सुषुम्णावाहिनि प्राणे सिद्ध्यत्येव मनोन्मनी ।
अन्यथा त्वितराभ्यासाः प्रयासायैव योगिनाम् ॥ ४.२० ॥ |
suṣumṇāvāhini prāṇe siddhyatyeva manonmanī ।
anyathā tvitarābhyāsāḥ prayāsāyaiva yoginām ॥ 4.20 ॥

Suṇumṇā: (in the) Sushumna
Vāhini: flows (Vahin)
Prāṇe: (when the) life (prana)
Sidhyati: succeeds, comes (sidh)
Eva: certainly (Eva)
Manonmanī: (the state of) the spirit beyond the spirit (Manonmani)
Anyathā: otherwise
Tu: but (Tu)
Itara: (all) others (Itara)
Abhyāsāḥ: Exercises, practices (Abhyasa)
Prayāsāya: (serving) exhaustion ("exertion," Prayasa)
Eva: only, alone
Yoginām: the yogis || 20 ||

The Prâna, flowing through the Sushumnâ, brings about the condition of manonmanî; all other practices are simply futile for the yogî.
