वायुः परिचितो यस्मादग्निना सह कुण्डलीम् ।
बोधयित्वा सुषुम्णायां प्रविशेदनिरोधतः ॥ ४.१९ ॥ |
vāyuḥ paricito yasmādagninā saha kuṇḍalīm ।
bodhayitvā suṣumṇāyāṃ praviśedanirodhataḥ ॥ 4.19 ॥ |
Vāyuḥ: (the) breath ("wind", Vayu)
Paricitaḥ: is controlled ("known, familiar", Parichita)
Yasmāt: once, when ("after", Yad)
Agninā: (the digestive) fire (Agni)
Saha: together with (Saha)
Kuṇḍalīm: (the) Kundali (ni)
Bodhayitvā: after awakening (budh)
Suṇumṇāyāṁ: (into the) Sushumna
Praviśet: to enter (pra + viś)
Anirodhataḥ: uninhibited ("without inhibition, restraint", a-Nirodha-tas) || 19 ||

The Vâyu should be made to enter the Sushumnâ without restraint by one who has practised breath control and has awakened the Kundali by means of the (gastric) fire.
