विविधैरासनैः कुभैर्विचित्रैः करणैरपि ।
प्रबुद्धायां महाशक्तौ प्राणः शून्ये प्रलीयते ॥ ४.१० ॥ |
vividhairāsanaiḥ kubhairvicitraiḥ karaṇairapi ।
prabuddhāyāṃ mahāśaktau prāṇaḥ śūnye pralīyate ॥ 4.10 ॥ |
Vividhaiḥ: by (the) diverse (Vividha)
Āsanaiḥ: body positions (asanas)
Kumbhaiḥ: Breathing behavior (Kumbhakas)
Vicitraiḥ: by (the) different (Vichitra)
Karaḥaiḥ: gestures (Karana, i.e., Mudras)
Api: and ("also", Api)
Prabuddhāyāṁ: (when) wakes up (Prabuddha)
Mahā: (the) great (Maha)
Aktactau: force, energy (Shakti, that is Kundalini)
Práḥaḥ: the lifejacket (prana)
Śūnye *: in the emptiness (Shunya, that is, in the Sushumna)
Pralīyate: (then) dissolves to (pra + li) || 10 ||

By means of various postures and different Kumbhakas, when the great power (Kundalî) awakens, the Prâna becomes absorbed in Sûnya (Samâdhi).
