राजयोगं विना पृथ्वी राजयोगं विना निशा । राजयोगं विना मुद्रा विचित्रापि न शोभते ॥ ३.१२६ ॥ |
rājayogaṃ vinā pṛthvī rājayogaṃ vinā niśā । rājayogaṃ vinā mudrā vicitrāpi na śobhate ॥ 3.126 ॥ |
| Rāja-yogaṁ: (the) royal yoga (Rajayoga)
Vinā: without (vina)
Pṛthvī: (the) "earth" (Prithvi, i.e. the body-holdings, asana)
Rāja-yogaṁ: (the) royal yoga
Vinā: without
Niśā: (the) "night" (Nisha, that is, respiratory conditions, kumbhaka)
Rāja-yogaṁ: (the) royal yoga
Vinā: without
Mudrā: Seal (Mudra)
Vicitrā: (the) many-faceted (Vichitra)
Api: also, even (api)
Na: not (s, Na)
Śobhate: use ("shines, shines", śubh) || 126 || |
Without Raja Yoga, this "earth" (the asanas), this "night" (the kumbhaka), and the mudrâs, however wonderful they may be, will not shine. |
