भानोराकुञ्चनं कुर्यात्कुण्डलीं चालयेत्ततः ।
मृत्युवक्त्रगतस्यापि तस्य मृत्युभयं कुतः ॥ ३.११६ ॥ |
bhānorākuñcanaṃ kuryātkuṇḍalīṃ cālayettataḥ ।
mṛtyuvaktragatasyāpi tasya mṛtyubhayaṃ kutaḥ ॥ 3.116 ॥ |
Bhānoḥ *: the sun (Bhanu, in the region of the navel)
Ākuñcanaṁ: (the) moving in ("pulling together", Akunchana)
Kuryāt: (man) lead out ("make", kṛ)
Kuṇḍalīṁ: (the) Kundali (ni)
Cālayet: he sets in motion (cal)
Tataḥ: then (Tatas)
Mṛtyu: (of) death (Mrityu)
Vaktra: (in the) mouth (vaktra)
Gatasya: (one who has reached) ("gone") (Gata)
Api: even (Api)
Tasya: this (Tad)
Mṛtyu: (before the) death
Bhayaṁ: fear, fear (Bhaya)
Kutaḥ: whence (should come kutas) || 116 ||

|
The Bhânu (Sûrya, near the navel) should be contracted (by contracting the navel), which will move the Kundalî. There is no fear for one who does so, even at the mouth of Death.
