सति वज्रासने पादौ कराभ्यां धारयेद्दृढम् ।
गुल्फदेशसमीपे च कन्दं तत्र प्रपीडयेत् ॥ ३.११४ ॥ |
sati vajrāsane pādau karābhyāṃ dhārayeddṛḍham ।
gulphadeśasamīpe ca kandaṃ tatra prapīḍayet ॥ 3.114 ॥ |
Sati: located (Sat)
Vajra-āsane *: in the diamond position (Vajrasana, a variant of Siddhasana)
Pādau: the legs ("feet", pada)
Karābhyāṁ: with hands (Kara)
Dhārayet: (man) hold (dhṛ)
Dṛḍham: solid (dridha)
Gulpha: (the) ankle (gulpha)
Deśa: (the) area (Desha)
Samīpe: close by (Samipa)
Ca: and (Cha)
Kandaṁ: the Kanda
Tatra: there (where it is, Tatras)
Prapīḍayet **: (man) press, press (pra + pīḍ) || 114 ||

Keeping the feet in Vajraâsana (Padmaâsana), hold them firmly with the hands. The position of the bulb will be near the ankle joint, and that is where the ankle joint should press.
