अवस्थिता चैव फणावती सा
प्रातश्च सायं प्रहरार्धमात्रम् ।
प्रपूर्य सूर्यात्परिधानयुक्त्या
प्रगृह्य नित्यं परिचालनीया ॥ ३.११२ ॥ |
avasthitā caiva phaṇāvatī sā
prātaśca sāyaṃ praharārdhamātram ।
prapūrya sūryātparidhānayuktyā
pragṛhya nityaṃ paricālanīyā ॥ 3.112 ॥ |

Phaṇā-vatī: snake ("who has a hood", cobra, Phanavati)
Sā: this (Tad)
Prātar: morning (Pratar)

Mātram **: for the time ("measure", Matra)
Prapūrya: inhaled (pra + pṝ)
Sūryāt: through the right nostril ("from the sun", Surya)

Pragṛhya: by seizing (pra + grah)
Nityaṁ: daily ("always", Nitya)
Paricālanīyā: is to be moved (in the circle) (Parichalaniya) || 112 ||

This she-serpent is situated in the mûlâdhâra. She should be caught and moved daily, morning and evening, for 1⁄2 a
prahar (1⁄2 an hour), by filling with Vayu through the Pingalâ by the Paridhana method.
