गङ्गायमुनयोर्मध्ये बालरण्डां तपस्विनीम् । बलात्कारेण गृह्णीयात्तद्विष्णोः परमं पदम् ॥ ३.१०९ ॥ |
gaṅgāyamunayormadhye bālaraṇḍāṃ tapasvinīm । balātkāreṇa gṛhṇīyāttadviṣṇoḥ paramaṃ padam ॥ 3.109 ॥ |

Madhye *: between ("in the middle", Madhya)
Bāla: (the) young (Bala)
Raṁāṁ: Widow (Randa)
Tapasvinīm: the penance does (Tapasvini)
Balāt-kāreṇa: by force, violently (Balatkara)
Gṇhṇīyāt: to seize (grah)
Tad: that (leads, Tad)
Viḥoḥ: Vishnus
Paramaṁ **: (to the) highest (parama)
Padam **: Location (Pada) || 109 || |
This young Tapasvini (female ascetic), lying between the Ganges and the Yamunâ, (the Idâ and Pingalâ) should be caught hold of by force in order to attain the highest position. |
