अथ शक्तिचालनम् कुटिलाङ्गी कुण्डलिनी भुजङ्गी शक्तिरीश्वरी । कुण्डल्यरुन्धती चैते शब्दाः पर्यायवाचकाः ॥ ३.१०४ ॥ |
atha śakticālanam kuṭilāṅgī kuṇḍalinī bhujaṅgī śaktirīśvarī । kuṇḍalyarundhatī caite śabdāḥ paryāyavācakāḥ ॥ 3.104 ॥ |

Kuṭilāṅgī: Kutilangi ("whose body is tortuous")
Kuṇḍalinī: Kundalini (the "curling")

Śaktiḥ: energy, power (Shakti)
Īśvarī: (the) goddess (Ishvari)
Kuṇḍalī: Kundali (the "curled")
Arundhatī (Arundhati)

Śabdāḥ: Words (Shabda)
Paryāya: synonyms (meanings, paryaya)

Kutilângî (crookedbodied), Kundalinî ("the coiling"), Bhujangî (a female serpent), Shakti, Iśhvarî, Kundalî ("the coiled"), Arundhatî — all of these words are synonymous. |
