क्षणाच्च किंचिदधिकं अभ्यसेच्च दिने दिने । वलितं पलितं चैव षण्मासोर्ध्वं न दृश्यते । याममात्रं तु यो नित्यं अभ्यसेत्स तु कालजित् ॥ ३.८२ ॥

kṣaṇācca kiṃcidadhikaṃ abhyasecca dine dine । valitaṃ palitaṃ caiva ṣaṇmāsordhvaṃ na dṛśyate । yāmamātraṃ tu yo nityaṃ abhyasetsa tu kālajit ॥ 3.82 ॥

Kṇaṇāt: as the duration (the previous day, Kshana "moment") Ca: and (Cha) Kiñ-cid: something (Kim Chid) Adhikam: longer ("more", Adhika) Abhyaset: man practice (abhi + as) Ca: also Dine dine: day by day, every day (Dina) Valitaṁ: crease (n, valita) Palitaṁ: white hair (palita) Ca: and Eva: certainly (Eva) Ṣaṣ: six (shash) Māsa: months (Masa) Ūrdhvaṁ: to (Urdhva) Na: not (more, na) Dṛśyate: is seen (Drishya) Yāma: of three hours (a "guard", Yama) Mātraṁ: (for the duration) ("measure", Matra) Tu: but (Tu) Yaḥ: who (yad) Nityam: daily ("always", Nitya) Abhyaset: practice ("practice") Saḥ: the (Tad) Tu: but Kāla-jit: defeat (Jit) death ("the time", Kala) || 82 ||


After six months of practice, wrinkles and grey hair will not be seen. One who practises this daily, for as long as two hours, conquers death.
