अथ विपरीतकरणी मुद्रा
तत्रास्ति करणं दिव्यं सूर्यस्य मुखवञ्चनम् ।
गुरूपदेशतो ज्ञेयं न तु शास्त्रार्थकोटिभिः ॥ ३.७८ ॥ |
atha viparītakaraṇī mudrā
tatrāsti karaṇaṃ divyaṃ sūryasya mukhavañcanam ।
gurūpadeśato jñeyaṃ na tu śāstrārthakoṭibhiḥ ॥ 3.78 ॥

The Sûrya is above the navel and the Chandra is below the palate. The exercise called the Viparîta Karanî is learned by following a guru's instructions.
