यत्किंचित्स्रवते चन्द्रादमृतं दिव्यरूपिणः ।
तत्सर्वं ग्रसते सूर्यस्तेन पिण्डो जरायुतः ॥ ३.७७ ॥ |
yatkiṃcitsravate candrādamṛtaṃ divyarūpiṇaḥ ।
tatsarvaṃ grasate sūryastena piṇḍo jarāyutaḥ ॥ 3.77 ॥ |
Yad: which (Yad)
Kiñ-cid: always (Kim Chid)
Sravate: flows (sṛ)
Candrāt *: from the moon (Chandra)
Amṁtaṁ: nectar (amrita)
Divya: (the one) heavenly, divine (divya)
Rūpiḥaḥ: Form (has, Rupin)
Tad: this (Tad)
Sarvaṁ: all (Sarva)
Grasate: devouring, eating (grass)
Sūryaḥ **: (the) sun (Surya)
Tena: thereby (Tad)
Piḥaḥ: the body (Pinda)
Jarā: (with) Age (Jara)
Yutaḥ: is connected (Yuta) || 77 ||

All of the nectar possessing divine qualities that exudes from the Soma (Chandra) is usually devoured by the Sûrya and, because of this, the body becomes old. To remedy this, the opening of the Sûrya is closed by excellent means. This is best learned by instruction from a guru; not even a million discussions can teach it.
