अनेनैव विधानेन प्रयाति पवनो लयम् । ततो न जायते मृत्युर्जरारोगादिकं तथा ॥ ३.७५ ॥ |
anenaiva vidhānena prayāti pavano layam । tato na jāyate mṛtyurjarārogādikaṃ tathā ॥ 3.75 ॥ |
| Anena: through this (Idam)
Eva: just (Eva)
Vidhānena: Method (Vidhana)
Prayāti: arrives ("goes, breaks", pra + yā)
Pavanaḥ: (the) breath, Prana ("wind", (Pavana)
Layam *: to rest, immobility ("to the resolution", Laya)
Tataḥ: thereby, after (Tatas)
Na: not (more, na)
Jāyate: created (Jan)
Mṛtyuḥ: Death (Mrityu)
Jarā: Age (Jara)
Roga: disease (roga)
Ādikaṁ: other, the like ("to the beginning", Adika)
Tathā: and, likewise (Tatha) || 75 || |
The Prâna becomes calm and still by doing this, and thus there is no death, old age, disease, etc. |
