प्राणापानौ नादबिन्दू मूलबन्धेन चैकताम् ।
गत्वा योगस्य संसिद्धिं यच्छतो नात्र संशयः ॥ ३.६४ ॥ |
prāṇāpānau nādabindū mūlabandhena caikatām ।
gatvā yogasya saṃsiddhiṃ yacchato nātra saṃśayaḥ ॥ 3.64 ॥ |
Prāṇa: the upward-flowing energy ("wind", prana)
Apānau: and the downward-flowing energy ("wind", Apana)
Nāda: (the unquenched) sound (nada)
Bindū: and the "drop" (Bindu, the point in the Om symbol, Anusvara)
Mūla-bandhena: by Mula Bandha ("root closure")
Ca: and, but (Cha)
Ekatām: (by referring to the unit (Ekata)
Gatvā: have arrived (gam)
Yogasya: of yoga
Saṁsiddhiṁ: Success, Perfection (Samsiddhi)
Yacchatas: (these two) lend (yam)
Na: not (Na)
Atra: this (Atra)
Saṁśayaḥ: (exists a) doubt (Samshaya) || 64 ||

The Prâna, Apâna, Nâda and Bindu Vayr unite into one this way and give success, undoubtedly, in yoga.
