जिह्वाप्रवेशसम्भूतवह्निनोत्पादितः खलु । चन्द्रात्स्रवति यः सारः सा स्यादमरवारुणी ॥ ३.४९ ॥

jihvāpraveśasambhūtavahninotpāditaḥ khalu । candrātsravati yaḥ sāraḥ sā syādamaravāruṇī ॥ 3.49 ॥

Jihvā: (the) tongue (in the opening of the mouth, Jihva) Praveśa: (by the) introduction ("Hineintreten", Pravesha) Sambhūta: (which) was born (Bhutan) Vahninā: through the heat ("fire", Vahni) Utpāditaḥ: produced (Utpadita) Khalu: well, surely (Khalu) Candrāt *: from the "moon" (Chandra) Sravati: flows (sṛ) Yaḥ: which, the (Yad) Sāraḥ: the nectar (sara) Sā: the (Tad) Syāt: is (is called as, as) Amara-vāruṇī: the gods spirits (Amara-Varuni) || 49 ||


The divine, immortal liquor is the nectar exuding from the "Moon" (Chandra, situated on the left side of the space between the eyebrows). It is produced by the fire generated by thrusting the tongue into the gullet.
