छेदनचालनदोहैः कलां क्रमेणाथ वर्धयेत्तावत् ।
सा यावद्भ्रूमध्यं स्पृशति तदा खेचरीसिद्धिः ॥ ३.३३ ॥ |
chedanacālanadohaiḥ kalāṃ krameṇātha vardhayettāvat ।
sā yāvadbhrūmadhyaṃ spṛśati tadā khecarīsiddhiḥ ॥ 3.33 ॥ |
Chedana: breaching (the tongues, chhedana)
Cālana: touring, loosening (Chalana)
Dohaiḥ: by milking (Doha)
Kalāṁ: the tongue (Kala)
Krameṇa: step by step, step by step (Krama)
Atha: now (Atha)
Vardhayet: lengthen (vṛdh)
Tāvat: so far (Tavat)
Sā: she (Tad)
Yāvat: to (Yavat)
Bhrū: (between the) eyebrows (Bhru)
Madhyaṁ: (the) middle (Madhya)
Spṛśati: touches (Sparsha)
Tadā: then (Tada)
Khe-carī: (in) Khechari (Mudra)
Siddhiḥ: (consists) success, perfection (Siddhi) || 33 ||

To accomplish this, the tongue is gradually lengthened by cutting the frænum linguæ, moving and pulling it. Once the tongue can touch the space between the eyebrows, then Khechari can be accomplished.
