एतत्त्रयं महागुह्यं जरामृत्युविनाशनम् । वह्निवृद्धिकरं चैव ह्यणिमादिगुणप्रदम् ॥ ३.३० ॥ |
etattrayaṃ mahāguhyaṃ jarāmṛtyuvināśanam । vahnivṛddhikaraṃ caiva hyaṇimādiguṇapradam ॥ 3.30 ॥ |
| Etad: this (Etad)
Trayaṁ: three ("triad" Traya, i.e., Maha Mudra, Maha Bandha and Maha Vedha)
Mahā: (are a) great (Maha)
Guhyaṁ: Secret (Guhya)
Jarā: Age (Jara)
Mṛtyu: (and) death (Mrityu)
Vināśanam: (it) destroys (vinashana)
Vahni: (the digestive) fire (Vahni)
Vṛddhi-karaṁ: (it) increases (Vriddhi-Kara)
Ca: and (Cha)
Eva: certainly (Eva)
Hi: because (hi)
Aṇima: (the) littleness (like an atom, animan)
Ādi: etc., and others (adi)
Guṇa-pradam: (it) gives (Prada, such) features (Guna, like) || 30 || |
These THREE are the great secrets. They are the destroyers of old age and death. They increase the appetite and confer the attainment of Anima, etc. |
