अयं तु सर्वनाडीनां ऊर्ध्वं गतिनिरोधकः । अयं खलु महाबन्धो महासिद्धिप्रदायकः ॥ ३.२३ ॥ |
ayaṃ tu sarvanāḍīnāṃ ūrdhvaṃ gatinirodhakaḥ । ayaṃ khalu mahābandho mahāsiddhipradāyakaḥ ॥ 3.23 ॥ |
| Ayaṁ: this (tongues, ayam)
Tu: but, however, (Tu)
Sarva: all (Sarva)
Nāḍīnām *: (fine-energy channels) (Nadis, with the exception of the Sushumna)
Ūrdhva: upwards, upwards (Urdhva)
Gati *: the river ("run" Gati, the "wind" (Vayu) and Prana)
Nirodhakaḥ: inhibits, prevents (Nirodhaka)
Ayaṁ: this
Khalu: known (Khalu)
Mahā-bandhaḥ: large closure (Maha Bandha)
Mahā: great, mighty (Maha)
Siddhi: (supernatural) abilities, perfections (Siddhi)
Pradāyakaḥ: lends (Pradayaka) || 23 || |
This stops the upward motion of all the Nâdîs. This Mahâ Bandha is the giver of great Siddhis. |
