मतं अत्र तु केषांचित्कण्ठबन्धं विवर्जयेत् । राजदन्तस्थजिह्वाया बन्धः शस्तो भवेदिति ॥ ३.२२ ॥

mataṃ atra tu keṣāṃcitkaṇṭhabandhaṃ vivarjayet । rājadantasthajihvāyā bandhaḥ śasto bhavediti ॥ 3.22 ॥

Matam: (the) view, opinion (Mata) Atra: here (Atra) Tu: but, however, (Tu) Keṣāñ-cid: some (teacher, Ka Chid) Kaṇṭha: the throat (Kantha) Bandhaṁ: (the) closure (bandha) Vivarjayet: to avoid (vi + vṛj) Rāja-danta-stha: (which is located on the) incisors ("king's teeth", Rajadanta) (Stha) Jihvāyāḥ: (with) the tongue (Jihva) Bandhaḥ: (the) closure Śastaḥ: recommended ("praised", Shasta) Bhavet: be (bhū) Iti: so (it, iti) || 22 ||

Some are of the opinion that the closing of the throat is not necessary here because keeping the tongue pressed against the roots of the upper teeth makes a good bandha (stop).
