क्षयकुष्ठगुदावर्तगुल्माजीर्णपुरोगमाः ।
तस्य दोषाः क्षयं यान्ति महामुद्रां तु योऽभ्यसेत् ॥ ३.१७ ॥ |
kṣayakuṣṭhagudāvartagulmājīrṇapurogamāḥ ।
tasya doṣāḥ kṣayaṃ yānti mahāmudrāṃ tu yo'bhyaset ॥ 3.17 ॥ |
Kṣaya: swelling, tuberculosis (Kshaya)
Kuṣṭha: leprosy, leprosy (kushtha)
Guda-āvarta: constipation ("bowel twisting", Gudavarta)
Gulma: morbid swelling in the abdomen, abdominal swelling (gulma)
Ajīrṇa: Digestive problems (Ajirna)
Purogamāḥ: starting with ("led by", Purogama)
Tasya: for this (yogi, tad)
Doḥāḥ: (diseases due to disturbed) doshas
Kṁayaṁ: (one) end (kshaya)
Yānti: take ("go to", yā)
Mahā-mudrāṁ: (the) great seal (Maha Mudra)
Tu: but, however, (Tu)
Yaḥ: who (yad)
Abhyaset: practiced, practiced (abhi + as) || 17 ||
|
|
Consumption, leprosy, prolapsus anii, colic and diseases due to indigestion — all these irregularities are removed by the practice of this Mahâ Mudrâ.
