The room should have a small door, the walls should have no holes or hollows and should be neither too high nor too low, well-plastered with cow dung, and cleanswed of dirt, filth and insects. Externally there should be the shade of a tree and an exterior raised platform, a well, and a fence. These characteristics of a location for a yogi have been described by adepts in the practice of Hatha.
