गुल्मप्लीहादिकान्रोगान्ज्वरं पित्तं क्षुधां तृषाम् । विषाणि शीतली नाम कुम्भिकेयं निहन्ति हि ॥ २.५८ ॥ |
gulmaplīhādikānrogānjvaraṃ pittaṃ kṣudhāṃ tṛṣām । viṣāṇi śītalī nāma kumbhikeyaṃ nihanti hi ॥ 2.58 ॥ |

Plīhan - spleen
Ādikān - and others, etc.
Rogān - Diseases
Jvaraṁ - fever
Pittaṁ - an excess of Pitta
Kṣudhāṁ - hunger
Tṛṣām - thirst
Viṇāṇi - poisons
Śītalī - Shitali
Nāma - named
Kumbhikā - retaining of inhaled breath
Iyaṁ - this
Nihanti - destroyed, beats down
Hi - certainly || 58 || |
This Shîtalî Ḳumbhaka certainly cures Gulma (tumors, etc.), disorders of the spleen, etc, fever, diseases of Pitta, hunger, thirst, and poisons. |
