अथ शीतली जिह्वया वायुं आकृष्य पूर्ववत्कुम्भसाधनम् । शनकैर्घ्राणरन्ध्राभ्यां रेचयेत्पवनं सुधीः ॥ २.५७ ॥

atha śītalī jihvayā vāyuṃ ākṛṣya pūrvavatkumbhasādhanam । śanakairghrāṇarandhrābhyāṃ recayetpavanaṃ sudhīḥ ॥ 2.57 ॥

Atha - now Śītalī - Shitali Jihvayā - over the tongue Vāyum - air, breath Ākṛṣya - retracting, sucking Pūrva-vat - as described before (v.49) Kumbha - retaining inhaled breath Sādhanam - practice Śanakais - slow, gradual Ghrāṇa - nose Randhrābhyāṁ - through the two holes Recayet - release, empties Pavanaṁ - air, breath Su-dhīḥ - intelligent || 57 ||


As said earlier (about Sîtkári), the intelligent yogi inhales air across the tongue, followed by Kumbhaka, and exhales slowly through the nostrils.
