षट्कर्मनिर्गतस्थौल्यकफदोषमलादिकः । प्राणायामं ततः कुर्यादनायासेन सिद्ध्यति ॥ २.३६ ॥

ṣaṭkarmanirgatasthaulyakaphadoṣamalādikaḥ । prāṇāyāmaṃ tataḥ kuryādanāyāsena siddhyati ॥ 2.36 ॥ |
Shaṭ - the six
Karma - actions
Nirgata - from whom are departed
Sthaulya - gross, large
Kapha - Kapha
Doṣa - disturbances
Mala - waste products
Ādikaḥ - and others, etc.
Prāṇa-āyāmaṁ - pranayama
Tataḥ - then, thereafter
Kuryāt - may perform, practice
Anāyāsena - without difficulty
Sidhyati - is successful, reaches the goal || 36 ||

When, after getting rid of sthula (dhatu), defective kapha dosha, and malas (waste) by performing the Shatha Karma (six methods), one performs Prânâyâma, one easily achieves success (perfection).
