mandāgnisandīpanapācanādisandhāpikānandakarī sadaiva । aśeṣadoṣamayaśoṣaṇī ca haṭhakriyā mauliriyaṃ ca nauliḥ ॥ 2.34 ॥ |

Sandīpana - ignitiation
Pācana - digestion
Ādi - etc.,
Sandhāpikā - lightening, improves
Ānanda-karī - causes blissing

Śoshaṇī - removing, destroyed, dries out

It (Nauli karma) always ignites the stomach fire, balances the digestive fire, and causes happiness. It removes all disorders of the doshas. Nauli is a perfect exercise in Hatha Yoga.
