अथ नौलिः
अमन्दावर्तवेगेन तुन्दं सव्यापसव्यतः । नतांसो भ्रामयेदेषा नौलिः सिद्धैः प्रशस्यते ॥ २.३३ ॥ |

amandāvartavegena tundaṃ savyāpasavyataḥ । natāṃso bhrāmayedeṣā nauliḥ siddhaiḥ praśasyate ॥ 2.33 ॥ |

Āvarta - water swirls
Vegena - speed
Tundaṁ - belly, navel area
Savya - left (one side)
Apasavyataḥ - right (anoter side)
Nata - banded, inclined
Amsaḥ - shoulder
Bhrāmayet - turn, rotate
Eṣā - this,
Nauliḥ - Nauli
Siddhaiḥ - by professionals)
Praśasyate - praised as || 33 ||

Now for Nauli: Seathed with the shoulders pressed forward, the belly moves and rotates gently with balanced speed from side to side (left and right), with the same motion as when as water swirls in a whirlpool, all of this done with clear mind - the masters call this the Nauli Karma.
