| पञ्चमोध्यायः,-Pranayama, (Ch.-5, V.-21) |
शुद्धं सुमधुरं स्निग्धं उदरार्धविवर्जितम्। भुज्यते सुरसं प्रीत्या मिताहरमिमं विदुः ॥२१॥ |
śuddhaṃ sumadhuraṃ snigdhaṃ udarārdhavivarjitam। bhujyate surasaṃ prītyā mitāharamimaṃ viduḥ ॥21॥ |

Pure, sweet and cooling food should be eaten to fill half the stomach, easting thus sweet, juices with pleasure and leaving the other half stomach empty is called moderation in diet |
