पञ्चमोध्यायः,-Pranayama, (Ch.-5, V.-21)

शुद्धं सुमधुरं स्निग्धं उदरार्धविवर्जितम्। भुज्यते सुरसं प्रीत्या मिताहरमिमं विदुः ॥२१॥

śuddhaṃ sumadhuraṃ snigdhaṃ udarārdhavivarjitam। bhujyate surasaṃ prītyā mitāharamimaṃ viduḥ ॥21॥

moderation in diet



Pure, sweet and cooling food should be eaten to fill half the stomach, easting thus sweet, juices with pleasure and leaving the other half stomach empty is called moderation in diet



Commentary
