देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा ।तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति ॥२- १३॥

dehino'sminyathā dehe kaumāraṃ yauvanaṃ jarā ।tathā dehāntaraprāptirdhīrastatra na muhyati ॥2- 13॥

देहिन dehinas (m. gen. sg.), = of the embodied, * i.e. the iitman or soul.; ऽस्मि asmin (m. loco sg.), = in this.; यथा yatha, = in which way, as.; dehe (m.ln. loco sg.), = in the body.; कौमारं kaumaram (n. nom. sg.), = childhood.; यौवनं yauvanam (m. nom. sg.), = youth.; जरा jara (f. nom. sg.), = age, old age.; तथा tatha, = in this way, so, so also.; देह  deha (m.ln.), = body.; अन्तर antara, = other, another.; प्राप्ति prāpti (f. nom. sg. from pra .Jiip), = acquisition, attainment, obtaining, advent, reach- ing, arrival at. (देहान्तरप्राप्ति deha-antara-priiptis, TP cpd., obtaining another body.); धीर dhīras (m. nom. sg.)" = wise one, wise man.; तत्र tatra, = there, in that, in this, in this matter.; न na, = not.; मुह्यति muhyati (3rd sg. pr. indic. act. .*muh), = he is deluded, he is confused.
