क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति ।कौन्तेय प्रतिजानीहि न मे भक्तः प्रणश्यति ॥ ९-३१॥

kṣipraṃ bhavati dharmātmā śaśvacchāntiṃ nigacchati ।kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati ॥ 9-31॥

क्षिप्रं kṣipraṃ = quickly, immediately.;

भवति bhavati  =   to become.;

 धर्म dharma  = dutiful, righteous, law, rule.;

आत्मा ātmā  =  self. (dharmatma, one whose self is virtuous.);

शश्वच्छ śaśvacch =  everlasting, perpetual, eternal.;

शान्तिं santim =  peace, tranquility.;

निगच्छति nigacchati = he goes to, he enters, he acquires.;

कौन्तेय kaunteya =   Son of Kunti, epithet of Arjuna.;

प्रतिजानीहि pratijānīhi  =   be aware! become aware! understand!;

न na =   not.;

मे me =  , of me, my.;

भक्तः bhaktas =  worshipping, worshipper.;

प्रणश्यति praṇaśyati  = he is lost, he is destroyed.
