त्रैविद्या मां सोमपाः पूतपापा यज्ञैरिष्ट्वा स्वर्गतिं प्रार्थयन्ते ।ते पुण्यमासाद्य सुरेन्द्रलोक-मश्नन्ति दिव्यान्दिवि देवभोगान् ॥ ९-२०॥

traividyā māṃ somapāḥ pūtapāpā yajñairiṣṭvā svargatiṃ prārthayante ।te puṇyamāsādya surendraloka-maśnanti divyāndivi devabhogān ॥ 9-20॥

त्रैविद्या traividyā  =   knowers of the three Vedas.;

मां māṃ  =   me.;

सोमपाः somapāḥ  =   soma drinkers.;

पूत pūta =   purified, cleansed.;

पापा pāpā =  evils, sins. (piltapapas, whose evils are cleansed.);

 यज्ञ yajña  =   with sacrifices, by sacrifices.;

एैरिष्ट्वा iriṣṭvā =   worshipping, offering.;

स्वर्गतिं svargatim  =   heaven goal, goal of heaven, path of heaven.;

प्रार्थयन्ते prārthayante =   they seek, they ask for, they desire.;

ते te  = they.;

पुण्य puṇyam =   pure, meritorious, holy.;

आसाद्य āsādya  =   attaining, going toward, approaching, encountering.;

सुरेन्द्र surendra  =   the lord of the gods, the Indra (chief) of the gods.;

लोकम lokam = world. (surendra-loka, world of Indra.);

श्नन्ति aśnanti =   they eat, to enjoy.; 

दिव्यान divyān = divine, heavenly.;

दिवि divi =   in the sky, in heaven.;

देवभोगान् devabhogān =   god pleasures, divine enjoyments.;
