| Bhagavadgíta,-अष्टमोऽध्यायः । अक्षरब्रह्मयोगः , (S.-1, Ch.-8, V.-20) |
परस्तस्मात्तु भावोऽन्योऽव्यक्तोऽव्यक्तात्सनातनः ।यः स सर्वेषु भूतेषु नश्यत्सु न विनश्यति ॥ ८-२०॥ |
parastasmāttu bhāvo'nyo'vyakto'vyaktātsanātanaḥ । yaḥ sa sarveṣu bhūteṣu naśyatsu na vinaśyati ॥ 8-20॥ |
paras (m. nom. sg.), higher. tasmat (abl. sg.), from this, than this. tu, but, indeed. bhavas (m. nom. sg.), state of being, exis-tence. anyas (m. nom. sg.), other. avyaktas (m. nom. sg. p. pass. participle a vi:Jafij), unmanifest, invisible. avyaktat (m. abl. sg.), from the unmanifest, than the unmanifest. sanatanas (m. nom. sg.), ancient, primaeval. yas (m. nom. sg.), which, who. sas (m. nom. sg.), it, this. sarveṣu (m. loco pl.), in all. bhūteṣu (m. loco pl.), in existences, in beings. naśyatsu (m. loco pl.), in the perishings, in the losses. na, not. vinaśyati (3rd sg. pr. indic. act. vi .J nas), it perishes, it is lost, it dies. |
But even beyond this manifested (Brahma), there is a nature which is
different, eternal, transcendental, and unmanifested which does not get
destroyed even though all beings are destroyed. ||8-20||
