Bhagavadgíta,-6. ātmasaṃyamayogaḥ आत्मसंयमयोगः , (S.-1, Ch.-6, V.-39)

एतन्मे संशयं कृष्ण छेत्तुमर्हस्यशेषतः ।त्वदन्यः संशयस्यास्य छेत्ता न ह्युपपद्यते ॥ ६-३९॥

etanme saṃśayaṃ kṛṣṇa chettumarhasyaśeṣataḥ । tvadanyaḥ saṃśayasyāsya chettā na hyupapadyate ॥ 6-39॥



एतद= etad (n. acc. sg.), this.; 

मे = me (gen. sg.), of me, my.; 

संशयं = saṃśayaṃ (m. acc. sg.), doubt, uncertainty, irresolution.; 

कृष्ण = kṛṣṇa (m. voc. sg.), Krisha.; 

छेत्त = chettum (infinitive *chid), to cut away, to efface.; 

अर्हस्य = arhasi (2nd sg. pr. indic. act . *arh), thou art able, thou art capable, please to.; 

अशेषतः = ase~atas (adv.), without remainder, wholly, totally.; 

त्वदन्यः = tvadanyaḥ (m. nom. sg.), other than thee.; 

संशयस्या = saṃśayasya (m. gen. sg.), of doubt, of uncer-tainty.; 

अस्य = asya (m. gen. sg.), of it, of this.; 

छेत्त = chetta (m. nom. sg.), cutter-away, effacer.; 

 = na, not.; 

हि = hi, indeed, truly.; 

उपपद्यते = upapadyate (3rd sg. pr. indic. mid. upa *pad), he arrives, he comes forth, he ex-ists.



O Krishna! You are the only able person to clear this doubt of mine completely, because there is nobody other than You, who can clear this doubt that has arisen in me. ||6-39||
