| Bhagavadgíta,-संन्यासयोगः saṃnyāsayogaḥ, (S.-1, Ch.-5, V.-17) |
तद्बुद्धयस्तदात्मानस्तन्निष्ठास्तत्परायणाः । गच्छन्त्यपुनरावृत्तिं ज्ञाननिर्धूतकल्मषाः ॥ ५-१७॥ |
tadbuddhayastadātmānastanniṣṭhāstatparāyaṇāḥ । gacchantyapunarāvṛttiṃ jñānanirdhūtakalmaṣāḥ ॥ 5-17॥ |
ज्ञानेन = jñānena (n. inst. sg.), by knowledge, with knowledge.; तु = tu, but, however.; तद = tad (n. nom. sg.), this, that.; अज्ञानं = ajñānaṃ (n. nom. sg.), ignorance.; येषां = yeṣāṃ (m. gen. pl.), of whom.; नाशित = nāśitamātm (n. nom. sg. causative p. pass. par-ticiple *nas), lost, destroyed.; आमात्मनः = ātmanaḥ (m. gen. sg.), of the self.; तेषाम = teṣām (m. gen. pl.), of them.; आदित्यव = ādityavat, like the sun.; ज्ज्ञानं = jjñānaṃ (n. nom. sg.), knowledge.; प्रकाशयति = prakasayati (3rd sg. causative act. pra *kas), it illumines, it causes to appear, it causes to shine.; तद = tad (n. nom. sg.), this, that.; परम् = param (n. nom. sg.), Supreme Highest. |
When one's intelligence, mind, faith, and shelter are all engaged in the Supreme Lord, then he becomes pure by the complete knowledge. Remaining sinless and doubtless, he attains the supreme abode (liberation). ||5-17||
