काश्यश्च परमेष्वासः शिखण्डी च महारथः। धृष्टद्युम्नो विराटश्च सात्यकिश्चापराजितः॥१-१७॥ |
kāśjaśča parameṣvāsaḣ śikhaṇḍī ča mahārathaḣ । dhṛṣṭadjumno virāṭaśča sātjakiśčāparādžitaḣ ॥1-17॥ |
काश्य kāśyaś (m. nom. sg.), = the King of the Kasi, a tribe in a district identified with modern Benares.; च ca, = and.; परम parama (m.), = supreme, highest.; एष्वासः eṣvāsaḥ (m. nom. sg. ishu, arrow; as a, hurler), = archer, bowman.(परमेष्वासः parama-i~vasas, m. nom. sg.
