Bhagavadgita,-अर्जुनविषादयोगः arjunaviṣādayogaḥ, (S.-1, Ch.-1, V.-16)

अनन्तविजयंराजाकुन्तीपुत्रोयुधिष्ठिरः। नकुलःसहदेवश्चसुघोषमणिपुष्पकौ॥१-१६॥

anantavidžajaṁ rādžā kuntīputro judhiṣṭhiraḣ । nakulaḣ sahadevaśča sughoṣamaṇipuṣpakau ॥1-16॥



अनन्तविजय anantavijayaṃ (m. acc. sg.), = Anantivijaya, Yudhisthira's conch horn. The name means "unending victory."; राजा raja (m. nom. sg.), = king. कुन्तीपुत्र kuntīputro (m. nom. sg.), = son of KuntL; yudhiṣṭhiraḥ (m. nom. sg.), = Yudhisthira, son of Kunti by Dharma, god of justice and law, eldest of the Pandava princes.; नकुलः nakulaḥ (m. nom. sg.), = Nakula, one of the twins, born to Pandu's second wife,Madri by one of the Asvins. A Pandava prince. The name means "color of the mongoose." सहदेव sahadevas (m. nom. sg.), = Sahadeva, .!he other twin, son of Miidri by the other Asvin. A Pandava prince. The name means "accom-panied by the gods." ca, = and. सुघ sugh, = the name of Nakula's conch horn (meaning "making a great noise").; मणिपुष्पक ṣamaṇipuṣpakau (m. acc. dual), Maṇipuṣpak, the name of Sahadeva's conch horn (meaning "jewel bracelet"). (सुघोषमणिपुष्पक sugho~amalJipu~paktiu, m. acc. dual, DV cpd. sugho~a and Maṇipuṣpak.



The elder son of Kunti, known as Yudhishthira, blew his conch shell Anantavijaya, while his brothers Nakula and Sahadeva blew their conch shells, Sughosha and Manipushpaka respectively. ||1-16||
